Romney taking a cap for the Bloods
Mitt Romney has dropped out of the runnings. The Republican posse only stands to benefit, as Romney had little chance of winning the ticket, with great potential to further fracture party base. McCain has always sat near the aisle, and as such alienated his republican base. Romney correctly recognized this and realized that if his party was to be somewhat cohesive and a formidable adversary to the Democratic Crips, he needed to unite not divide. With numerous conservatives denouncing McCain, the right was and is ripe for a third party spoiler. Romney's move was smart one. Hopefuly McCain will seize on the opportunity.
